Regarding Motion LIVE 3D and Live Face, you can click the BUY button on the top right of the product pages. If you want to bring in these types of characters you will need 3DXchange 7 Pro/Pipeline to convert them to a non-standard character type in iClone 7. However, it doesn't allow you to bring in custom rigged characters you may have created in other software. Character Creator 3 uses a standard base mesh which you then customise using the available morph sliders. The basic version of Character Creator 3 comes free with iClone 7 but you will need the Pipeline version to get the export options. Characters created with CC3 are classified as standard characters in iClone and can all use the animation features of iClone. I hope this helps.Ĭharacter Creator 3 Pipeline is the best way to create custom characters for iClone or to export them to other 3D software and game engines. So basically these are the products you will need: iClone 7 Motion LIVE 3D Live Face OR Faceware Gear Profiles Character Creator 3 Pipeline OR 3DXchange 7 Pipeline. The other is to use 3DXchange 7 Pipeline to export which is an older method but offers additional export options like being able to export props and other non-standard characters as well as standard characters and animations. One is to use Character Creator 3 Pipeline (recommended) which has direct export pre-sets for Unity and Unreal. Finally for the export side, you have two options. Of the two Live Face works out much cheaper if you already have a suitable iPhone to use with iClone. So currently for facial motion capture you will need either the Live Face Gear Profile which uses an iPhone X (or higher) for the motion capture, or the Faceware Gear Profile which uses a standard webcam. To create facial motion capture you will need iClone 7, the Motion LIVE 3D plug-in and then the Gear Profile for the hardware you plan to use.
